XYZ Coordinate Notation

Moves and positions on the Tri-D board are described using an XYZ coordinate notation.

Starting with 000 for White King's Rook and ending with 954 for Black Queen's Rook.

The first number (X), represents the Rank starting at 0 for White's first rank and ending at 9 for Black's first rank.

The second number (Y), represents the File starting at 0 for Kings' rooks and ending at 5 for Queens' rooks.

The third number (Z), represents the Levels starting at 0 for the starting position of White's attack boards and ending at 6 for inverted attack boards under Black's main board.

Example move notations for the following graphic:

White Black

X numbers are placed above the board and YZ combinations are placed conveniently around the board to assist in move and position notations.
